Simon Windsor is an award-winning producer and creative who has been at the forefront of immersive content, technology, and storytelling for more than a decade. Inspired by the idea of a mixed reality future, he was part of the team that launched String in 2010, one of the first mobile AR platforms.
In 2014 he co-founded Hammerhead, a dedicated immersive entertainment studio, and in 2017 launched the volumetric filmmaking studio Dimension as Microsoft’s first Mixed Reality Capture partner. Hammerhead and Dimension merged in 2020 as Dimension Studio, which joined Journey in 2025.
Simon leads productions across entertainment and sport. His credits include Universal Pictures’ Wicked (parts 1 and 2), Sony Pictures’ I Wanna Dance With Somebody, and The Cleaner starring Daisy Ridley. He has also delivered major live and immersive projects for clients including Coldplay, Madonna at the Billboard Music Awards, Sky Studios, Sky Sports, and Balenciaga. His work has been showcased at Sundance, Venice, Aesthetica, and Cannes.
