Director

Michelle Schrank is a Director at Journey’s NYC studio.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is a licensed architect in the state of New York. Michelle’s architectural expertise has been key to many projects at Journey, including 53 Restaurant (New York City), Salt City Market (Syracuse, NY), Zouk Nightclub (Las Vegas), and she is currently leading the Journey team for the experience and interior design of TSX Times Square in New York City.

Michelle has led several strategy-driven projects where team members spend several days or weeks in an immersion period (focus groups, interviews, and discovery sessions) with clients and communities to gain a better understanding of context, users, challenges, and opportunities. These insights lead to presentations that craft a brand’s purpose through story and designs that create differentiated experiences. Michelle has worked on strategy phases with organizations in a wide variety of sectors including: the Allyn Family Foundation (non-profit), Chase Bank (financial), Hospital for Special Surgery (healthcare), and Hines (development).
