The Journey team has worked alongside innovation stakeholders at Dow Jones to develop an omnichannel Conversational AI ecosystem. Over the course of the engagement, Journey’s AI specialists have developed a conversational AI product roadmap and several voice-activated applications on voice devices. The Journey team has also collaborated on data and content partnerships with platforms, extending Dow Jones’ content to new channels.
Provide strategic consulting and execution of voice applications services to manage the voice program for Dow Jones, most specifically The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, and Factiva.
Journey is building an omnichannel voice program that integrates conversational AI across the Dow Jones media and news ecosystem through ongoing innovation strategy and bespoke voice activations. Our strategy focuses on staying one step ahead of technology, and user needs to bring trusted Dow Jones content to consumers where they want it when they want it.
The new WSJ Headlines skill allows users to hear top headlines and curate a customized reading list.
Journey aims to build the most robust conversational AI program in the media and publishing world by empowering internal teams with industry trends, Web3 technology, platform partnerships, and bespoke voice experiences. Journey’s ongoing engagement with Dow Jones has led to significant strides in just under one year, solidifying Dow Jones as a leader in the space.
The new Marketwatch skill brings convenient and trusted high-level market insights via voice.
With multiple voice applications and activations in development at once, the team simultaneously tackled the planning, analysis, and execution of many moving parts. The team set a product roadmap, performed a complete tech-stack analysis, and developed several voice activations (skills, routines, shortcuts) that were uniquely tailored to the specific technical requirements and consumer needs of each Dow Jones brand entity.
In addition to these skills, Journey has curated several voice-activated routines for Amazon’s Alexa, developed podcast shortcuts for Apple’s Siri, and pioneered new uses of Voice Activated Web capabilities for the business intelligence product Factiva.
The team also navigated platform partnerships, designed a go-to-market strategy, and conducted stakeholder education to ensure the success of the ecosystem as a whole. The resulting products were user-friendly and efficient, which has, in turn, propelled the developing conversational AI ecosystem forward.
